Ms Doreen Karemu

I am a compassionate and reliable carer with hands-on experience supporting individuals through my volunteer role with Flexible Community Care, a care agency dedicated to person-centred support. In this role, I assist individuals in maintaining independence, dignity, and wellbeing within their homes and communities. I have also completed the Care Certificate with Florence Academy, which has strengthened my skills in personal care, communication, safeguarding, and emotional support. With an educational background in Communications & Sociology and more than 15 years in client facing roles , I bring strong interpersonal and cultural awareness skills, enabling me to connect effectively with service users, families, and colleagues. I take pride in creating a calm, respectful, and positive care environment that promotes both physical and emotional wellbeing. My key strengths include empathy, patience, attention to detail, and reliability. I am skilled in assisting with daily living tasks, following care plans, maintaining accurate records, and supporting individuals with dementia, palliative, and end-of-life care. I am passionate about making a meaningful difference in people’s lives and remain committed to continuous learning and delivering the highest standards of compassionate care.
